Beginning this course and this blog, I didn’t really take into consideration having an audience, because I felt like this was something just for me. At first, I just wanted it to be a personal blog, but that was still too broad. It took some time, but by narrowing it down to recommending my music to an audience, I was able to take into consideration my posts each week and what I wanted to talk about based on 3 aspects:
1. Producing diverse content for a varying tastes
I found myself trying to create and recommend different types of music each week, going from sad hip hop vibes then moving onto international music, such as Kpop.
2. Music analysis
I also found myself trying to produce informative content, such as the rising boom of lo-fi music.
3. I like it, and hopefully you will too
At the end of the day, the theme of this blog is music recommendation from me and the songs I like, and hopefully you will too. Thus, if I have something on my mind regarding certain songs or artists, I will talk about them, and provide my recommendation based on that. And if you don’t like them, that’s okay because having your own opinion makes you unique, and who doesn’t like individuality?
